The weather is starting to reflect the change in seasons and nature is blooming all around us. We have some of the most beautiful flowering trees right here in our community… welcoming us back outside after what seemed like a long (although not hard) winter. Along with the more temperate weather, many families are enjoying a full load of spring activities and are already starting to plan for summer programs.
On this note, I’d like to invite you to attend the first Annual TRES Summer Camp Bazaar, following the PTA General meeting on May 13th. After participating in this very important meeting where we’ll elect the PTA officers for next year, families are invited to stroll through the media center and speak directly with representatives or gather brochures from local summer camps and programs. Categories of camps to be featured this evening will include: sports, academic, art, crafts, fine arts, day camps, and miscellaneous programs. I hope you’ll take advantage of this unique opportunity. As always, a light meal will be served, children’s programming will be provided during the PTA meeting, and we’ll begin the evening with a few musical selections (provided this month by the TRES chorus).

Friday April 25th from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The weather is getting warmer and it is time for the spring events for family activities! The first event we have planned is the spring ice cream social. This event coincides with " National TV Turn Off Week" and we encourage all families to come out and make some good old fashioned ice cream sundaes together. The ice cream social will take place in the Twin Ridge cafeteria from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday April 25th.
Coming home soon in Thursday folders will be a coloring sheet to submit for our art contest for the ice cream social. We will be judging and awarding a prize to one student per grade level ( pre-k thru 5th ). Each student will be sent home the same coloring sheet per grade so we will be looking for imagination and creativity to pick the winners. You do not have to be present at the ice cream social to win but we will be announcing the winners at the event and displaying ALL of the art work that was submitted!
The nominating committee is currently searching for people interested in serving on the PTA Executive Board. We are in need of a President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary for the next school year. Without an executive board, our PTA cannot operate. If you are interested in finding out more, please call one of us.
You can make a difference for our children...
