Thank you to all who attended our meeting this month. We had a very productive
meeting with some new faces and great ideas. Here’s what we have going on in
January and February:
On January 31st from 5-8 p.m., we will be hosting a McDonald’s Night at the Mount
Airy McDonald’s. Keep a look out for flyers coming home in the Thursday folder
announcing this event. We encourage all TRES students, family and friends to “take a
break” and visit McDonald’s on that day. Make sure to fill out the form that comes
home and turn it in at McDonald’s when you place your order. The class (PreK-5) with
the highest participation in this fundraiser will receive a McFlurry Party!!! You can
place your order through the drive-thru or inside the restaurant. 5th graders will be
stationed inside to greet and thank you for your support and give away free tattoos.
February will kick off our Coin Jar program. February 1st -15th, all 5th graders are
encouraged to bring in any spare change to fill up their homeroom Coin Jar. The coins
will be counted weekly and incentives will be given to the classes with the most
money raised. This is a great opportunity for the kids to start doing extra chores around
the house to raise money for their activities. Start saving those pennies!!
The 5th Grade Activity Committee is always looking for additional help and feedback
from all 5th grade parents. Please join us for our monthly meetings, which are held the
2nd Monday of each month from 7-8 pm at TRES. Our next meeting is scheduled for
Monday, February 11th from 7-8 pm in the cafeteria.
Once again, on behalf of our 5th graders, thank you for your continued support of our
programs.
