Attention 5th Grade Parents!!
The 5th grade voted and they want to bake cookies to donate to the American Legion. The Legion sends packages overseas to US troops every month. In February the 5th grade wants to bake cookies to be a part of that shipment.
Details:
What: Bake any kind of cookie you like, put them in freezer bags and freeze them. Mark the bags if the cookies contain nuts.
When: Bring them to school on Wednesday, FEBRUARY 15th to be collected.
Goal: 100 dozen of cookies
 
Sub-Committees
1. Community Service Project- Organize an opportunity for the students to give back to the community through a project and/or donation. American Leion Cookie Project.
2. Memory Book- Collect memorable items and photos from the students, organize the layout of the book, print the book, distribute at 5th grade party
3. Set up/clean up- Coordinate and oversee volunteers for set up and clean up at the 5th grade party. Party to be held June 8th, after school. Party Theme: Island/Cruise.
4. Decorations- Provide decorations for 5th grade party
5. Food & Drinks- Provide food, drinks, and paper products for the party
6. Entertainment- Plan and organize games, activities, and hire a DJ for the party
7. Prizes- Supply prizes for the party and coordinate with entertainment committee
8. Farewell ceremony- Coordinate set up, clean up, cupcakes and drinks for after the farewell ceremony
