It's easy to join. In your Welcome Communication Packet is a membership
application.
While some of you are familiar with the PTA and all we do, we know there
are families who aren't sure exactly why their membership is so important
to us. When you join the PTA, a small portion (approx $1.00) goes directly
to the TRES PTA. The other $4.00 of your TRES PTA membership dues goes
towards MD & National PTA dues. The funds basically cover our insurance
policy. The TRES PTA sponsors many activities throughout the year such
as: The TRES Clubs Program, Summer Bridging the Gap Activity Books, Thursday
folders, Parent Handbook, Staff Appreciation, Variety Show, Reflections,
Family Activity Events, Holiday Shop, Equipment in Volunteer Room, Enrichment
Programs-assemblies, and more.
We have listened to our families and for the first time are offering
Membership Plus which for one price of $8 and one payment you will get
your TRES PTA membership, school directory both paper and electronically
delivered. The TRES PTA Membership and School Directory can still be purchased
separately.

Annual Boxed Lunch Event
The staff appreciation needs your help. On Tues. May 4th, the Staff
Appreciation Committee coordinates volunteers to provide each staff
member a personal lunch, including but not limited to main dish(sandwich,
salad, soup or whatever you can think of), side, dessert, and drink.
This can be put in any bag, gift bag, box, or be creative. The staff
really enjoys the personal touches that this event provides. And, is
the perfect opportunity to show our appreciation to all their dedication
to our students. We need one for approx. 70 staff. The room parents
are taking care of each individual classroom teacher, but there are
many, many more needed. The lunches would need to be given to the teacher
or brought to the staff lounge for us to deliver by 10am. If you give
it to the staff then please stop by the lounge to initial that it was
given.

New Twin Ridge Spiritwear is Here!!!
Our fall spiritwear sale begins Friday, October 9, 2009 and run through
Friday, October 23, 2009. Spiritwear is a great way to show your PANDA
PRIDE!!
We are offering the popular requested pullover hoodies in RED or GRAY,
flannel pants, crew sweatshirt & long-sleeve tees. Samples of our newly
designed items are on display in the display case at the bottom of the
main staircase.
Also new this year is the Twin Ridge Lanyard. Lanyards are red with "Twin
Ridge Elementary" in black lettering with paw prints. They feature a double
breakaway and a key ring. We are also taking order for our Panda Power
T-shirts.
Order forms were sent home in the Thursday folders on Thursday, October
8th. Download a order form 
TWIN RIDGE spiritwear is great for school events, field trips, and everyday
events. In fact, spiritwear makes a great holiday gift for the whole family!!!
